Our Club is comprised of members of the local community, who together bring a vast wealth, breadth and depth, of knowledge and experience to the group. Current members include former industry professionals, current professional Actors, and Amateurs, with many, many decades of experience in literally 100s (if not 1000s) of productions. Covering all elements of Theatre, from: Front and Back of House, to Treading the Boards, to Stage Management, etc., etc., etc. (“King & I” reference there for those in-the-know!) And, with access to The Regal’s Technical and Safeguarding Teams, this provides a great resource for local people to become involved in the Performing Arts. Indeed, we are Constitutionally bound to (and we quote here verbatim):
“…to further constructively - in all possible ways - the development and interests of Amateur Theatre, and to keep alive the “Spirit of the Theatre” generally.
We also aim to provide a leisure and social activity, reasonably priced entertainment, and opportunities in all aspects of stagecraft, to all sectors of the community.”
Operating under the broader umbrella of the jewel in Tenbury Wells’s crown that is, our host venue: the wonderful Art Deco, Regal theatre, the RCT exists to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to be inspired by and experience theatre, including some, who wouldn’t ordinarily encounter it, or perhaps, be able to afford it.
