RCT’s latest production is fully underway and in rehearsal – and what a comic feast it is going to be!
A fast-moving farce with misdirection, slapstick and characters you probably shouldn’t be able to recognise, but probably do (well, just a little) …
Is Inspector Drake a quiet genius or hopelessly hapless? Is Sergeant Plod any help at all? Did Mrs Gagarin deserve to die on her patio that night?
And what of the suspects? Is Miss Duck a fashion designer or fiend? Did Mr Gagarin get on with his mother? What brought Mr Butler to the Gagarin residence that evening? And what about the cook, the gardener, and the butler? Are they the loyal retainers they claim they are?
Who is whom they seem? And who harbours a resentment so deep they will resort to murder?
Come and see Inspector Drake as he takes on household implements, dim assistants, flirtatious ladies, fruit and an obstreperous Chief Inspector... will he win through, with so much stacked against him?
‘Inspector Drake’s Last Case’, written by David Tristram, is presented by the Regal Community Theatre in the intimate setting of the Regal Studio Theatre.
